GUIDELINES FOR THE SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
FOR JAMMU & KASHMIR.
National Scholarship Scheme for the award of merit Scholarships for post-matric studies:
The Board draws up merit list of Scholars likely to be eligible for award of scholarships and submits it (the list) to the administrative department for award of scholarships under the National Scholarship Scheme.
Besides giving its own medals and merit certificates, the Board has been successful in motivating the following agencies in the country to award prizes, scholarships, etc. to the merit holders and thus nurture talent.
NATIONAL MEANS-CUM-MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEM
Applications are invited on prescribed proforma from the students, who have passed Class VII in the year 2009 in case of KD and 2010 in case of JD and are presently studying in Class VIII of Jammu and Kashmir State, for a Centrally Sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS), which is an amount of Rs 500.00 (Rupees five hundred only) per month from class 9th to 12th (Four Years).. It is notified for the information of all concerned that State level National Talent Search (NTSE) Examination test, will be held on 21st November, 2010 (Sunday) for Class VIII.
